The candy necklace

Lola got a candy necklace at Christoffer's work's Christmas party. I finally had to "hide" it in the garbage when she wasn't looking! Everything in the house was sticky!

Swimming time again

Here's a few new "diving" videos from swimming last night. Lola probably shouldn't have been swimming as she's been a bit sick the past week, but she just loves it so much. So, swim she did. Please ignore the snotty nose and red eyes.

Some classics

I dug up some "oldies but goodies." Here's a bath scene (in the living room!!) from July 7, 2007 - Tour de France is on in the background. I'm thinking this was the reason for the unconventional bath setting.

From July 5, 2007 - Lola backing herself underneath the piano. She was just starting to get the hang of crawling...

My God it must be frustrating to be a little baby. Here's another one of Lola trying to get the hang of movement. At least she finds her pacifier in this one!

And another, this one from July 8, 2007 - here Lola is creating a masterpiece on the piano. She may not be Mozart, but she's enjoying her noise nonetheless...

The Scooter

This is not the most exciting footage. Its from September 5th at Christoffer's parent's house. Lola is so proud that she can finally ride on those little scooters - her little legs are long enough at last!!

Lola and William in action

This video is from Saturday at William's. Unfortunately, there is another video that I'm not able to post here (I think its too big). The other video shows them playing so crazy together, I think they jumped off the chair on to the mats about 200 times. There was a break at some point for a frantic and enormous dinner, but later they took it further and jumped continuously from the coffee table to the couch. Finally Lola passed out without a word in the other room...

Allspice and pepper

Lola tried to help with the cooking tonight. We now have a slightly orange countertop because she spilled curry powder everywhere. She had a lot of fun until we removed her... then it got ugly.

Lola's sick day 8/15/08

This is what Lola did during one of her "sick days." I had taken the cushions and cover off the couch to wash it all and so she just ran up and down the couch and jumped on it for what seemed like hours.

This next one is from the same sick day. Here Lola is having a blast running around the (very messy!) house in sunglasses... and then deciding that she wants to watch South Park.

Ella's birthday!

Today we went to Ella's second birthday party in Felix's backyard (too hot today up in Ella's sunny apartment!) We had lots of fun and Lola and Felix competed a bit for the slide. Felix says "Go Lola" a few times and then gives her a good nudge. Then Lola gets annoyed with the rocks in her sandals at the end of the slide. Good times.

Well this might have been a funny video - if Felix and Lola had cooperated. However, that's just never the case. They were dancing but the moment I began to film they stopped and sort of ran off. So it goes...



This place is really great - its part of the big park (Fælledparken) just north of our apartment. There is a huge wading pool where the water is only about a foot deep and there is a huge green area with a playground. Its the best place around for little ones on a hot day.

Post-nap Lola

This video was sort of taken by accident the other day at Christoffer's uncle's summer house. We had just woken Lola up from a 3+ hour nap and she was being cute and groggy.

Trampoline Action!

Lola and her friend William playing last Friday in William's backyard. This is really only worth watching if you're a grandparent or if you've got your mic turned up so you can hear Lola squeal. They were both falling on and off that thing and they thought it was about the funniest thing ever.

I'm sure you can see Lola's buddy Ben in the background, too. This was nearly what she was meant to be doing at the time actually - though this is what she does the entire 30 minutes regardless of what the exercise is!! Both the instructor and Christoffer make numerous attempts to steer her in other directions, however Lola has little respect for authority and little interest in anything that doesn't involve climbing out of the pool and jumping back in.
